We're celebrating an extraordinary milestone as valued team member Carol Clarke marks 50 years of service, having dedicated her career to the bingo industry and the local community.

Carol joined Buckingham Bingo on 26 July 1976 as a book seller and has remained a familiar and much-loved face ever since. Following Club 3000 Bingo's acquisition of the club, Carol continued her career with the business at our Walkden club bringing the same enthusiasm, dedication and commitment that has defined her five decades of service.

Throughout her career, Carol has undertaken various roles within the club. From checking winning claims on the bingo floor and operating the paybox in the days before electronic payments became commonplace, to providing change for customers, serving ice cream, working in the snack bar, helping in the kitchen and supporting colleagues wherever needed, Carol has always been willing to lend a hand. Today, she continues to perform many of those same roles, demonstrating the versatility and work ethic that have made her an invaluable member of the team.

Around ten years ago, Carol made the move with colleagues and customers from the club's original premises to its new home at Walkden, ensuring that generations of regular players continued to enjoy the warm welcome and friendly service they had come to expect.

Carol's outstanding customer service is one of the reasons she has become such a well-known and respected member of the club. Having built relationships with customers over the past 50 years, she knows many by name and has been there to welcome multiple generations of families through the doors. Her friendly personality, willingness to help and genuine care for customers have made her an integral part of the club experience.

Carol's long service reflects not only her personal commitment but also the important role that the club plays within their local community. For many customers, familiar faces like Carol are a key part of the social experience, helping to create the welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back year after year.
